Dear Sacramento City Council and Manager,
Have you noticed how terrible outdoor lighting is now? 5000K LED building lights and street lights, LED billboards, and 5000K LED car headlights all shining glare into our eyes. So much glare is painful and disturbing. We need to fix this.
Please take a look at this video showing an extremely well designed outdoor lighting project. The light is intelligently placed, is soft on the eyes and is compatible with our ecosystem. Instead of 5000K LED lights, these lights are probably 1800K, giving plenty of light, but without the disastrous glare.

I am asking that you take the necessary steps to change the way Sacramento thinks about lighting. Develop a city wide plan that eliminates glare and returns the stars. Let’s have night time be something we love, not hate.
