Mistic v. Hanning – Brady Mistic is a deaf person whose civil rights were violated by excessive police use of force, including blinding flashing lights.
Dalton Fields v. Tesla – Five Houston police officers are suing Tesla Autopilot for crashing into police vehicles with flashing lights on. While the lawsuit is against Tesla, the actual negligent parties are the manufacturers of the LED flashing lights, the Houston Police Department, and NHTSA.

Turn Down the Lights v. City of Monterey – In March, 2019, the citizens group Turn Down the Lights lost on appeal in their case against the City of Monterey, California. The citizens claimed that the City was required to perform a California Environmental Quality Act report before changing the city street lights to LED since the color temperature was changed to a much higher value. The judge ruled that the citizens did not follow proper procedures when filing their lawsuit because CEQA has certain time limits. This is a very sad ruling for us.
German Resident Wins Streetlight Case – A resident in Germany sued and the judge agreed that the resident has a right not to have a street light shining through the window of his house.

Hawaii Wildlife Fund v. Maui County – The Hawaii Wildlife Fund successfully sued the County of Maui Public Works Department for failing to do an environmental review of the effects of blue wavelength light.
Friends of Merrymeeting Bay v. Central Maine Power – CMP installed high energy strobe lights onto their towers, polluting the area with light. FOMB is currently suing to have the lights turned off.
Environmental Health Trust v. FCC – August, 2021 – Environmental Health Trust sued the FCC to better study wireless radiation, especially in children.
